Responsible for payroll for the company's manufacturing facilities in Mexico and will serve as the subject matter expert for this payroll and its related issues. Serve as primary contact for Mexican payroll issues and support the Kronos time entry system.
Assist with the administration of all pay rules for the company within Kronos that are used to determine employee pay. Help support all rules for the various leave administration functions company-wide and ensure the validity of system functionality through appropriate change management and testing procedures. This will apply to both Kronos and PeopleSoft Global Payroll. Will work with division personnel and Kronos support as needed to troubleshoot issues, and will serve as a resource assisting with security, special configurations, and swipe card administration for all employees including the company's facilities in Mexico. Will also assist in the development and continuous improvement of processes to support the company's needs for tracking and managing both worked and non-worked hours and assist divisions in training timekeepers and non-exempt staff members and develop new training materials and job aids to assist division timekeepers. Will provide routine reports to management and field personnel, and assist in the development of new reports and analysis as needed.
Primary duties will include:
1.Managing the pay period process in Kronos and PeopleSoft for Calica including, but not limited, to: processing interfaces, removing signoffs, assisting with problem resolution, running reports;
2.Maintaining Kronos pay rules and all related work rules and building blocks;
3.Updating and maintaining clock configuration components as needed;
4.Updating and maintaining the rules and system maintenance processes to support leave administration functions companywide;
5.Providing customer support for time entry such as punch interpretations, clock configurations, Cypress report distributions, validation process, accruals, historical adjustments, pay period close process, etc.;
6.Administering change management and system upgrades through appropriate testing to help ensure system validity through appropriate test and rollout methodologies;
7.Documenting, updating and maintaining Kronos processes and procedures and training materials;
8.Maintaining tables needed for PeopleSoft HCM, EAM, and Project (rates, earnings codes, deduction codes, work orders, etc.)
9.Establishing and performing control procedures to ensure the validity of all necessary interfaces;
10.Coordinating with IS support to resolve any technical issues with the database or the clocks in the field;
11.Keeping up to date on best practices in time administration as well as Kronos software changes and upgrades, and working directly with Kronos support as needed;
12.Providing backup support to various functional areas within PSS as needed (may include tax submissions, relocation, balancing accounts, garnishments, etc.).
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor degree (or foreign educational equivalent as determined by credentials evaluation) in computer science, systems engineering, business analytics or a related analytical field. 2 years of experience in Mexico payroll and benefits analysis role(s). Working knowledge of CFDI, IMSS, SUA (Mexican government reporting agencies). Approximately 30% travel (domestic and international).
