Position Description

Performs complex/extensive business analysis including workflow analysis, business information requirements and modeling used for planning, developing or acquiring and implementing computer applications which effectively support business processes and provide necessary business controls and management information. Manages SBU business operations software (Deltek Costpoint) and interfaces with Corporate IT.

Specific Accountabilities:

> Develops and maintains an understanding of company business processes, the information/data required and generated, and the computer application functionality required to make those business processes cost-effective and efficient.
> Working directly with corporate IT team, ensures effective business systems operations for the BU as well as integration into corporate systems. Support BU programs and integration into BU systems
> Provides direct primary system support for users of all corporate systems in all facilities and acts as a liaison between general users and technical support.
> Supports corporate compliance processes and manages BU MIS compliance processes
> Assists in development and management of business applications projects and integration. Transforms conceptual system designs into system architecture and detailed programming specifications in accordance with current design standards. Reviews system designs with all functional areas in all business units to ensure acceptance and consensus ensuring all user, customer and legal requirements are met.
> Evaluates requests for system changes for feasibility and works with corporate IT and software service providers to prepare detailed programming specifications if required.
> As needed, coordinates detailed technical and functional testing of new Costpoint updates and releases to ensure programming has been done in accordance with detailed specifications and will not be disruptive to operations.
> Assists in the configuration and control of Costpoint system parameters and files to meet changing business requirements.
> Develops conversion and system implementation plans for new BU’s and contracts.
> Develops user documentation and assists in the development of training material for new and existing applications.
> As needed, provide direction and supervision to IT team members
> Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
> Carries out special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

> 5+ years in a MIS, systems analysis or in a computer application position preferred.
> Experience in systems analysis or business applications development.
> Thorough knowledge of business process redesign or reengineering.
> Knowledge of information technology including local area networking, wide area networking, remote communication systems, mainframes, distributed servers, workstations and printers, preferred.
> Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint preferred.
> Working knowledge of Aviation MRO processes preferred.
> Good planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
> Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work without organizational authority across organizational boundaries to identify information needs and to design and implement applications that fulfill them.
> Working knowledge of PC's in the current company operating system environment.
> Bachelor's degree in business administration or computer science.
> Must be authorized to work in the US.
> Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
