Job Title: Aircraft Systems Financial Analyst

Job Purpose: Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. Performs economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.

 

Nature of Duties: Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control of the Aircraft Systems business segment with primary responsibility for developing the Aircraft Systems EAC (Estimate at Completion) work products. Performs technical analysis aiding and supporting the business unit to determine present and future financial performance with particular emphasis on the management of labor and material costs. Related tasks associated with inventory management, charge number management, budgeting, maintenance of A/R, shipment reconciliation, customer PO document management are all a part of this position.

 

Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, trended future requirements and operating forecasts to segment leadership and SCI senior leadership. Ensures compliance with internal controls and with external audit agents. Performs all types of financial analysis on areas such as booking/revenue forecasts, rates of return, depreciation, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.
 

Education and Experience:

  • Due to Dept of Defense requirements, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED

  • 2 years experience as a Financial Analyst with demonstrated EAC preparation support, primarily in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of D.O.D electronics manufacturing is a plus with a keen understanding of material and its consumption

  • Must possess sufficient knowledge and ability to interpret, organize and analyze financial data from multiple sources including engineering, shop floor, accounting and other areas

  • Must have strong computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Oracle knowledge/experience is highly desirable. PMPLAN experience is a plus

  • Sufficient skills to develop ad hoc reports and presentations for internal and external audit agents of the company

  • Ability to work well alone as well as in a team environment

  • Excellent written and verbal business communication skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or similar is a must
