  • Overview

    We are seeking a Human Resources Manager - Huntsville Plant. This role is the Human Resources leader, working in partnership with Plant Operations and reporting to senior HR leadership at our corporate headquarters.

    Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    • Business Partner to internal Manufacturing Clients to provide direction on growth of the facility
    • Experience with building and executing on strategic HR plans including but not limited to talent development, building teams and culture
    • Experience with ramp-up of operations, including providing direction and plans for growth
    • Experience with benefits, workers comp, FMLA, Training, Manpower Planning

    Position Purpose

    Directs the planning, development, implementation, administration, and budgeting of most or all of the following human resource functions: employee selection and placement, training, benefits, wage and salary administration, equal employment opportunity, unemployment and disability insurance, labor relations, employee records and maintenance, and health and safety services programs. Advises plant management in personnel policy and program matters, making or recommending appropriate decisions as consistent with strategic direction.

    Basic Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of human resources or labor experience
    • At least 2 years of management experience

    OR

    • Master’s degree and at least 6 years of human resources or labor experience
    • At least 2 years of management experience

    OR

    • At least 10 years of human resources or labor experience
    • At least 2 years of management experience

    Additional Requirements

    • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
