Job Description
Morgan Lewis is currently seeking a Legal Secretary for the Intellectual Property - Patent Prosecution practice group who will be resident in the Silicon Valley office in Palo Alto, CA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing a high level of client service to administering complex domestic and foreign patent prosecution dockets; reporting communications to clients; EFS-Web filings (eFilings); navigating websites for other countries, including the European Patent Office (EPO) and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO); external and internal clients; document processing; making travel arrangements and preparing travel itineraries; processing new business intake and expense forms; time entry; answering phones and taking messages; scheduling appointments; arranging meetings and conferences; monitoring incoming mail, faxes, and e-mails; filing and other administrative duties as assigned.

Experience:
•Qualified candidates must possess a high school degree
•Minimum of five years of legal secretarial experience in Intellectual Property
•Patent Prosecution Experience with patent law and the procedures of the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO).
•Experience in travel and meeting arrangements, calendar management, and client billing.
•Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•Legal Software experience including CPI (patent docketing software), Private/Public PAIR, Electronic Patent Assignment System (EPAS), Patent Fetcher, Visio, Excellent communication and grammar skills
•Solid organization skills, attention to detail, the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast paced
environment, and the ability to manage confidential information with
•Excellent written/verbal communications skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are a must.
•Flexibility for overtime is required.
