Job Description
HCSW Cybersecurity Engineer to ensure Lockheed Martin and customer requirements are met. Work with senior Cybersecurity Engineers, program management, engineering and subcontractors to develop plans, perform assessments and provide reports and briefings.

We are looking for an entry-level, self-motivated, team player willing to share knowledge with other team members. You will work with the HCSW Cybersecurity Engineering team within the Systems Specialty Engineering organization.

Responsibilities of working with Sr. Cybersecurity Engineers include:
• Provide System Security Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Information Assurance support to configure and/or validate secure systems and test products and systems to detect and report security weakness in Lockheed Martin and/or subcontractor systems.
• Perform or evaluate vulnerability assessments on systems utilizing approved assessment tools and appropriate Government provided software and scanning tools.
• Provide system integration and coordination between program product teams regarding Security Engineering and Information Assurance functions.
• Participate in assessments of security engineering designs and implementation in all aspects of Security Engineering and Information Assurance.
• Assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle; validate system security requirements definition and analysis; establish system security designs; implement security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures; verify security requirements; perform system certification and accreditation planning and testing and liaison activities, and support secure systems operations and maintenance.

• Coordinate with subcontractors regarding compliance to program Cybersecurity requirements.
• Support the development and submission of Cybersecurity deliverables to the customer organization
• Support Design Reviews; prepare and deliver Cybersecurity related Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) in compliance with all requirements

Note:
• This position requires a Secret clearance to start with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance therefore US Citizenship is a requirement for consideration

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Information Assurance, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Demonstrate an understanding of Cybersecurity/Information Assurance requirements
• Familiarity with operating systems: Unix/Linux (Solaris, RedHat, etc.), Windows OS (7, 10)

• Ability to obtain applicable Information Security certification in accordance with DOD 8570.01-M (minimum of IAT-II / IAMI)

Desired skills
• Knowledge of the Systems Engineering Life Cycle
• Knowledge and/or experience with system accreditation and plan development under the DIACAP and RMF per DODI 8510 accreditation processes
• Basic understanding of network boundary devices such as routers, switches and firewalls
• Knowledge and/or experience with System Hardening and Vulnerability Management Patching
• Demonstrated previous success working in a fast-paced team environment.
