Joiningour team will allow you to expand your M&A skills, due to the breadth andvariety of work we can offer and our diverse client base, including largeinternational and mid-cap private equity houses, infrastructure funds,multi-national companies, emerging capital providers and management teams. You will participate in all aspects of the deal cycle from due diligenceservices, tax structuring, input into SPAs and financing documents,post-acquisition implementation and reorganisations, on-going advice tocorporates and individuals and preparation for sale.  In addition you willparticipate in client business development activities, honing your marketingskills and provide training and coaching to more junior members of your team.



TheM&A team is looking for individuals at Consultant – Associate Directorgrade to join the pre-eminent M&A tax team providing corporate and personaltax advice on a wide range of corporate and private equity backedtransactions. 


This willinclude working with some of the largest private equity houses andmulti-national corporate clients and their management teams in the UK.

Responsibilitieswill include:


  • Advising UK and international corporate clients on transaction tax and wider commercial M&A Issues
  • Advising shareholders and management teams of private equity and privately owned businesses in the UK and internationally on the structuring of their personal investment in transactions
  • Managing a portfolio of high profile M&A projects
  • Researching and advising on tax technical and commercial issues, including drafting high quality reports and similar deliverables
  • Developing and managing a portfolio of private equity and corporate M&A accounts
  • Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution 


Yourprofessional experience

  • An understanding of, or interest in, M&A tax requirements as they impact our clients from a corporate or personal tax perspective – prior experience of transaction work is helpful but not essential
  • Keen attention to detail to ensure production of high-quality client deliverables, often against tight deadlines
  • Highly developed problem solving skills, underpinned by the enthusiasm and drive to assist our clients in dealing with challenging issues
  • Client engagement skills and a keen interest in learning to develop, in order to assist our clients
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to verbally flex your style to communicate complex messages to a variety of stakeholders
  • Strong team working ethos
