MBUSI is home to the GLE, GLE Coupe, and GLS-Class Sport Utility Vehicles and the C-Class for the North American Market. Our facility is one of the most advanced automotive manufacturing facilities in the world, with nearly 5 million square feet under one roof. The plant, located in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama, is positioned in an area of natural beauty and abundant natural resources.
Daimler North America Corporation has set-up a trading house in the U.S.. The new entity (MB ExTra LLC) will be responsible for the steering of parts from U.S. suppliers to plants outside of the U.S.. MB ExTra is a wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler North America Corporation and will be located on the MBUSI campus in Vance, Alabama. The entity will be staffed by employees who will handle supply chain management, quality management, supplier quality and capacity management.

Assist the MBExTra Management Team in the overall set-up of the new organization
Support the staffing of the organization
Support the development of new processes in Logistics and Supplier Quality
Interface with the MBUSI organization in the execution of the administrative support
Prepare and participate in business discussions with senior management
Develop reporting and analysis tools, as needed
Complete accurate (timely and formatted) ad hoc and standardized reporting requests, including any other logistics-related tracking/reporting, as neededPerform other duties as required
Supply Chain Management
Necessary Skills, Certifications, etc.:
Fluent in English (oral/written)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Ability to think in processes
Strong communication skills
Preferred Start Date:
February 25, 2019
Currently enrolled in University or in a gap year between Bachelor's and Master's degree
Studies outside of the U.S.
A minimum of 3 semesters of studies in relevant field of study
Available for a minimum of 6 months
