Cerner is hiring a Nutritional Therapist for a brand new, state of the art wellness facility in Huntsville, AL!  This facility is part of a senior living community that is like no other- featuring a boutique hotel, residential campus of villas and townhomes, and an integrative wellness center. As our Nutritional Therapist, you will use a holistic, multi-factor approach to deliver member education and care focused on diet and nutrition concerns and overall health goals through in-person or virtual interactions.  Using your knowledge in Functional Nutrition and Medical Nutritional Therapy you will conduct comprehensive nutrition evaluations, identifying risk areas and implementing personalized nutrition interventions, programs and care plans for members based on individual needs, goals, and costs and dietary preferences.  You will regularly assess care plan effectiveness and counsel members on strategies for adherence to care plans and provide ongoing guidance and support.  The Nutritional Therapist will also collaborate with internal and external partners to execute wellness program events, campaigns, challenges, or workshops related to diet, nutrition, and the relationship between good eating habits and preventing or managing specific diseases.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Nutrition, Foods and Nutrition, Dietetics or related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • At least 1 year of functional or integrative nutrition work experience
  • At least 2 years of Dietitian or nutrition services work experience
  • Certified Clinical Nutritionist (CCN) with the Clinical Nutrition Certification Board (CNCB) or Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) with the American Nutrition Association (ANA) or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • Licensed Nutritionist in the state of AL 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics field
  • Registered Dietitian (RD)
  • Previous experience in an Integrative setting
  • Must reside in or near the Huntsville, AL area
