Position Department: Field - International

Performs a wide variety of welding functions.
Description of Tasks:
- 6G welding
- Performs grinding and weld test coupon preparation for the inspection process.
- Performs carbon arc gouging.
- Frequently calculates welding actions using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in U.S. standard units.
- Performs a wide variety of welding functions as assigned by supervisor.
Education/Experience: Minimum high school diploma/GED and pass welding test procedures of experience with Stick, Tig, and welding required.
Certifications, Licenses, etc.: 6G Welding certification required. U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrates the ability to successfully complete the following weld tests: 2" schedule 160 carbon steel open butt with GTAW root and hot passes and SMAW balance; 2" schedule 80 carbon steel pipe open butt with 309 stainless steel GTAW root and balance. Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation. High standard of integrity and professionalism.
Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for longs periods of time, lift and hold in excess of 50lbs, talk, hear and occasionally sit. Must have the ability to withstand confined spaces and or/extreme heights while negotiating tasks at hand in a safe manner to themselves and/or others.
Environmental Conditions: Frequently on site and subject to hot cold, humid and wet conditions depending on location.
