POSITION SUMMARY
The function of the ASM is to provide day-to-day Supervision and Management of the employee-partners assigned to him/her, as well as maximizes profits, sales and distribution of all the products of the Buffalo Rock Company under the Team Rock Concept following the AIM Selling Guidelines.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Monitor all accounts to ensure proper service based on Division Policy for service frequency.  
Monitor all accounts to ensure accounts are worked in accordance with the AIM Selling Process.  
Develop and maintain positive professional customer relationships. Communicate with key accounts weekly/biweekly.  
Ensure that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect the Company from possible damages, theft, or other liabilities.  
Consistently review all existing policies/procedures for possible change.  
Communicate all transshipping activity in accordance to Company Policy and Procedures.  
Take responsibility for leading the assigned employee-partners and assuring that the Team Rock concept is the key to the group’s success.  
Solicit all new accounts in your assigned sales area.  
Notify FSM/GSM of any change to an existing account, including ownership or closure, etc.  
Must properly complete all required paperwork to Company policy and timeline.  
Using company guidelines develop, sell in, communicate and monitor all assigned accounts for CDA contracts and compliance (internally and externally).  
Achieve and monitor all metrics and sales objectives as it relates to the balanced score card.  
Monitor required AIM Certification criteria per account.  
Achieve and monitor all account program key objectives.  
Develop, communicate, and coordinate all approved pricing on all Buffalo Rock products (internally and externally).  
Coordinate and assist with resets and new store openings  
Coordinate equipment needs, equipment placements and point-of- purchase needs with General Sales Manager.  
Assist with weekly forecasting to achieve company metrics.  
Participate and contribute to the divisions “Strategic Planning” process and monitor to ensure all assigned plans are implemented and achieved.  
Ensures collection of pallets and trays including pallets and trays that belong to third parties.  
Contribute to the department’s profitability by meeting or exceeding all objectives.  
Understand and then ensure all assigned sales objectives and quotas are reached under the Mid-Management Accountability Balanced Score Card through the combined efforts of the assigned employee-partners.  
Ensure that every reasonable precaution is taken to protect self, employee-partners, customers, customer property, and is responsible for all Buffalo Rock equipment, racks, venders, and coolers whether the account is open or closed  
Ensure that all accounts of the assigned employee-partners requiring “weekend and holiday” merchandising are serviced adequately, either by assigned employee-partners or assigned Sales Support employee-partner based on the Division’s established rotation  
Ensure that the ASM and all assigned employee-partners keep all forms of communication turned on in accordance with department guidelines.  
Review customer call-in reports daily and address any issues promptly with the customer and the employee-partners.  
Ensure that all Delivery trucks are inventoried correctly at both check out and check in, and that the corresponding correct count is reflected on both the inventory sheet and the hand held computer(if applicable)  
Know each manager/buyer at each account by name and keep them updated on all Buffalo Rock Company pricing, new product, and any information pertinent to mutual business needs.  
Must sell-in all current and future products, including all brands and packages distributed by the Buffalo Rock Company following the AIM Selling Process.  
Must continuously seek authorization and full distribution for all current and future products distributed by the Buffalo Rock Company.  
Must aggressively pursue additional shelf space, position, display space, cooler space, vending placements, and rack placements in all assigned accounts, incremental to the CDA status of the account under the Mid-Management Accountability Balanced Score Card.  
Ensure that all marketing programs with assigned /selected accounts are implemented and maintained, and report and remedy any non-compliance under the Aim Selling Process  
Assist with the collection of any missing invoices, or DSD’s, and in the collection of any overdue account balances and bad check payments.  
Adhere to customer policies for vendors or suppliers, which may include but is not limited to business conduct policies, business ethics policies, legal policies, and delivery and merchandising policies.  
Conduct Sales Meetings to communicate all pertinent information on metrics, sales, pricing, promotions, ads, new items, etc.  
Responsible for following SOP on meeting schedule and guidelines (i.e. weekly, monthly and quarterly) as directed.  
Must schedule, conduct, facilitate, attend, and/or participate in all scheduled meetings.  
Coach, train, develop and assist employee-partners in accomplishing their assigned goals and responsibilities.  
Conduct periodic performance reviews with employee-partners.  
Ensure all assigned employee-partners service their assigned routes daily, and in the event of their absence make sure the route is worked.  
Ensure all accounts serviced by the assigned employee-partners have received their scheduled delivery before the end of scheduled business day and/or week.  
Ensure all assigned employee-partners report to work daily and on time in accordance with department guidelines.  
Monitor department payroll and make any necessary changes.  
Ensure that all assigned employee-partners receive all authorized time off; including weekend day(s), authorized holidays, vacation time, and personal days per Division guidelines  
Understand and use when needed the counseling and progressive discipline as outlined in the Company Policy Manual.  
Required to work nights, weekends (Sat. and Sun.) as needed, as well as work on-call duty as directed by the division.  
Required to work any special events or other events associated with the Buffalo Rock Company or the division.  
Honor and follow through on all business commitments  
Exhibit a high level of ethical and moral conduct while at work or in attendance of any off-site function during work hours or after work hours while representing the Buffalo Rock Company.  
Responsible for continuous self improvement through the knowledge and use of all Company and Division provided training, either web-based, in-house, or any other Company provided method.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Experience:
At least three (3) years sales and management experience (or management approval).
Computer Skills:Personal Computer/Laptop, laser printer, fax machine, copier. Radio/Cell Phone. Handheld Knowledge. Proficient in UXT & V-5. 
 
Certifications &
Licenses:
Valid State Commercial Driver"s License for State of Residence. Minimum Class A CDL required within 90 days of accepting position.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
