Aerojet Rocketdyne seeks a Senior Contract Analyst with government contracts experience to join our facility in Huntsville, AL.
The Senior Contract Analyst interprets the conditions and terms of contracts including fiscal and legal implications and advises management on all significant procedures and regulations affecting the contract. Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures, government regulations and industry protocols.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)
With limited general direction, the Senior Contract Analyst applies expertise to contribute to the development of new concepts and techniques. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Acts as liaison/consultant with external and internal customers on all matters affecting contractual agreements. Provides effective verbal and written communication.
45% - Review of proposal and proposal requirements, analysis of terms and conditions; negotiating and executing contracts.
25% - Interact with external customers.
25% - Interact with internal customers, program management, accounting, supplier management, finance and related functions. Prepares all necessary internal reports for management and periodic reports to contract officers as required.
5% Assists in developing policies, procedures and practices relating to contract administration.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline and 6 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Desirable Qualifications:
- Familiarity or working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation, Defense Federal Regulations (DFAR), related federal and state legislation and regulations, and the Uniform Commercial Code.
- Prior contract administration experience within the Aerospace & Defense industry.
US Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required). Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
