DISTRICT SALES MANAGER

Acme Brick Company (a Berkshire Hathaway Company) is an organization of professionals in the manufacturing and building material distribution industry.  We manufacture brick and distribute our own brick as well as brick and associated products manufactured by others.  We operate in 15 states with a philosophy that we are much more than a brick manufacturer and distributor.

Summary

We are currently seeking a “best in class” District Sales Manager with excellent organization skills and a personable disposition.  The ideal candidate will manage sales activities of appointed district and have a natural ability to roll with the punches, being flexible to handle anything that might come their way. You’ll be a strong and reliable support to company operations, maintaining procedures and communication.  Not only will your efforts allow us to achieve organizational efficiency, you will nurture the pleasant work environment our people love.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

  • Develop and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate district sales goals

  • Direct sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly

  • Coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas and goals

  • Represents company at trade and industry association meeting to promote product

  • Coordinates liaison between sales and production

  • Analyzes and control expenditures of district to conform to budgetary requirements

  • Working knowledge of market condition and trends

  • Analyzes and establishes pricing to maximize profits

 

Skills and Experience Required for Success

  • Good understanding of sales operations - experience working in other departments desired

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong computer skills required

  • 3+ years of successful sales experience with Acme acquiring new customers/territory and selling new products

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business management is preferred
