The ability to understand directions and follow instructions.
Cuts, fits, and welds pipe for marine piping systems.
Personally signs QA documents for pipe joint fit up and weld requirements.
Personally signs for completeness of work in work packages.
Torch cuts pipe clean and true
Welds pipe without leaks in positions with minimal clearance
Determines job sites, particularly those involving combustible material, are safe for personnel and, when required, hot work
Creates and maintains a worksite that is compliant with safety and quality regulations and policies.
Read and interpret weld symbols or blueprints, schematics, and job specifications
Working knowledge of TIG welding process including stainless steel and copper nickel alloys
Working knowledge of the use and limitations of 6011, 6010, and 7018 (Stick Welding) and/or sil-braze rods
Working knowledge of the use and limitations of flux core process
Must complete a practical exam that includes the administrative functions.
May be assigned to work any shift.
May be assigned tasks outside craft as required.
To be an ORA advocate ? Adding to an orderly and safe work environment.

Required Skills:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Must have demonstrated an acceptable proficiency by successfully passing a standard first class practical exam and hands on testing. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations before customers, clients, or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals in U.S. and metric conversions.
