Essential Duties & Responsibilities: JOB SUMMARY:
Integrates and tests the project prototype using developed test oracles and other test tools as required to demonstrate system performance. Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment. Develops test plans and conducts testing activities on complex systems and subsystems to meet program requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Duties and responsibilities which occupy a major portion of time and importance in the job. Incumbent may perform one or more of the following duties.)
a. Evaluates, recommends, and implements automated test tools and strategies.
b. Develops, maintains, and upgrades automated test scripts and architectures for application products.
c. Writes, implements, and reports status for system test cases for testing.
d. Analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports.
e. Performs a variety of complex tasks related to specialized inspection and testing of project output (hardware or software) to ensure that quality standards are met.
f. Develops new or refines existing processes related to quality control and project failure identification and design standards verification.
g. Completes status reports, reporting, categorizing, and explaining defects thoroughly.
h. Performs manual testing, writes detailed test plans, procedures, and scenarios.
i. Executes detailed test plans, procedures, and scenarios.
j. Performs automated testing, creating accurate test hierarchies.
k. Plans and records effective baseline; edits scripts in a timely manner.
SUPERVISION/FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
a. Supervisory Responsibility May supervise junior/mid-level Test Engineers.
b. Supervision Received Reports directly to the Project/Program Manager. Works under limited supervision, within defined objectives, with latitude for interpreting specific task and time requirements and for selecting the approved methodology to be used for achieving expected results.

Required Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- Education/Experience - B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent technical or professional experience plus eight to ten years of demonstrated related experience. Relevant and equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
- Skills/Certifications/Training Excellent PC skills; knowledge of PC/Network system practices. Must have excellent oral, written, and analytical communication skills and strong management skills. Able to use innovation and new technologies, and be self-motivated.
- Level of Security Clearance TS/SCI
