Job Description
Design Engineer sought by Nucor Corporation (Vulcraft - Alabama) for the Fort Payne location. Candidate must a Master's deg in Civil Engg. Candidate must have 12 months of exp as a Graduate Structural Engineer or Civil Engineer managing steel engg projects. Skills must incl: Utilizing knowl of structural dsgn & Building Information Modeling (BIM) s/ware to dvlp conceptual & detailed dsgn of structures; Coord'g & dsgng steel joist/truss & decks using in-house dsgn tools & providing tech'l assistance to clients & other collaborators; Conducting structural condition & integrity assessment of existing plant structures & providing retrofit methods for repair; Dsgng & coord'g structural projects & producing engg drawing & specs using Autodesk Auto CAD, Revit Robot Structural Analysis Professional (RSAP), Advanced Steel, Etabs, SAP2000 & Inventor professional; & Must have successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engg exam & submit certificate of passing upon application.
