Job Description

Advanced Optical Systems, Inc. (AOS), a growing Huntsville, AL electro-optical company, is seeking an Electrical Engineer.

AOS is focused on cutting edge system solutions to customer problems. AOS develops electro-optical systems including vision systems and data stream processing for military and NASA related programs. Candidates must be able to work within a multi-disciplinary team.

Job Requirements

It is desirable that the candidate has a minimum of 10 years experience in the electrical engineering areas of software and hardware design for embedded systems. The candidate should have experience in technical leadership of engineering teams. Candidate should also feel comfortable in a mentoring role for entry and/or junior level engineers.

Skill Summary:

1. BS/MS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering
2. Experience using MATLAB tools is desired
3. Experience with developing embedded hardware systems
4. VHDL programming experience for FPGAs is desired
5. Excellent written and oral communication skills
6. Ability to gain a Security Clearance Required - Level Secret
