Job Description: Accredo is a leading provider of specialty pharmaceutical services with a national network to provide the best patient care. We specialize in the distribution and clinical management of therapies for chronic pulmonary, respiratory, neurological, and immune disorders.

The Certified Pharmacy Technician contacts/interacts with customers on a proactive and reactive basis to ensure the timely receipt of pharmaceutical/ancillary supplies. The pharmacy technician assists the pharmacist in the processing of medication orders, patient inventory control, distribution functions, and tasks related to the handling and filing of patient charts.

Specific Responsibilities include:

1. Monitors inventory levels through contact with nurses, pharmacy, clinic and patients/ families. Prepares and reorders inventory for patient when stock items reach reorder point.
2. Picks and prepares orders for a Pharmacist to check for shipment.
3. Receives routine product or service problems and refers to appropriate department for handling. Documents customer complaints per process.
4. Places follow-up calls to patients/families or tracks to ensure deliveries have been received.
5. Assists in inventory control by checking expiration dates and notifies supervisor of drugs with short expiration dates.
6. Cooperates and coordinates with other departments to ensure proper billing.
7. Ensures state and federal laws are followed regarding pharmacy dispensing and record keeping.

Hours for the position are weekdays from 8am - 5pm.
