Description Engineering liaison position under the Army Fixed Wing PM @ RSA to support all PM-ARES payloads and platforms. Provide engineering support and ISR acquisition subject matter expertise to facilitate coordination and management of related requirements between PM-FW and PM-ARES (Aerial Reconnaissance, Exploitation and Sensors), Product Director Aerial ISR Systems (PD AISR), and Product Director Observe, Detect, Identify (PD ODI). Duties include: close coordination with upper level Army program management and support to multiple project management staffs and contractors for cost/performance/schedule of Army FW ISR programs; participation in source selection activities; assist in the development of Airworthiness Qualification Plans (AQPs) and contract deliverable requirements lists (CDRLs); act as IPT lead supporting airworthiness qualification throughout the design, development, test, fielding and sustainment cycles; participate in preliminary and critical design reviews (PDRs & CDRs), Flight Readiness Reviews (FRRs), and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs); provide input to the PMs on flight line operations, environmental and Electromagnetic Environment Effects (E3), tactical communications, hazard identification, and risk management; oversee Service Bulletin (SB) and Airworthiness Directive (AD) implementation, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and platform/payload modification programs; support hardware and software test activities; participate in platform/payload Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and continued airworthiness activities. Qualifications To be considered for this position you must have: A minimum of 20 years engineering and operational experience with Army aviation, ISR sensors and platforms, ISR mission execution, and airworthiness qualification of complex payloads on fixed wing (FW) aircraft. A thorough understanding of FAA and Army policies regarding certification of commercial derivative aircraft (CDA) and military modification programs. DAU certifications in Program Management, Test and Contracting. Recent experience with platform/payload ground and flight testing, as well as payload development, integration, test, and systems engineering. A thorough understanding of Army system safety processes, platform and payload configuration management, and space/weight/power/cooling technical engineering management. CONUS/OCONUS travel required (50-75%). A current, active Top Secret/SCI clearance. Compensation Aerodyne s compensation and benefits package is very competitive.
